One of the great things about Little Britain is that it is politically incorrect, this is a welcome break from the so-called 'nanny state' that we currently live in. The program has had many effects on people and places, this page looks at some of the things the program has done for people and places.
Popular Quotes
The catchy character quotes are a major reason Little Britain is so popular. Repeating the quotes is done by many fans, when at its height it was rare to walk around a supermarket and not hear someone say 'I want that one!'.
Llandewi Breffi
This is the fictional home of Daffyd Thomas, although the real village is actually spelt Llanddewi Brefi (only one 'F'). The popularity of Daffyd has massively raised the profile of the tiny welsh village. Although the locations used when making the series bear no resemblance to the real village! Despite this fans have been flocking to Llanddewi Brefi to take photos of the roadsigns (we will get one soon!)
Power of Good
The shows popularity has meant it has been involved in two Red Nose Days in the UK. Matt and David brought out DVDs in 2005 and 2007 especially for Comic Relief. The popularity of the show meant the DVDs flew of shelves generating thousands of pounds at the same time!
